Edward Murphy
Edward Murphy, 62, and Eleanor Murphy, 57, from Renton, Washington, had parked their cream-colored motor home at the roadblock 11 miles west of the mountain on May 17. Edward was a retired planner for the Boeing Company; Eleanor was a retired secretary and former gift shop manager. The morning of May 18, Edward drove to Kid Valley in his Plymouth and was driving back with breakfast when the mountain erupted. Other cars left the roadblock, but the motor home remained behind. Neither of the Murphys were seen again.
