Jim Pluard

Jim Pluard, 60, and his wife, Kathleen Pluard, 56, left their home in Toledo, Washington, about 7:30 AM Sunday morning so that Jim, a long-time Weyerhaeuser foreman, could check on his crew’s logging equipment. They would have reached the site where Jim’s crew was logging, on the back side of the ridge where Dave Johnston was stationed, at about the same time the volcano erupted. The Pluards and their yellow Weyerhaeuser pickup were never seen again.
